With the goal to expand its presence in Europe, Authentic acquired the assets of 7scenes on 9th May 2017.
Founded in 2007, the Netherlands-based company 7scenes was a mobile storytelling platform that provided organizations with all the tools you need to develop location-based tours and games for smartphones. Their clients were mainly based in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Authentic has been around since 2009 with its story telling platform, My Tours. Authentic is passionate about creating mobile applications to help audiences explore, engage, and discover arts and culture in new ways. With visions aligned in so many ways this acquisition was a good fit.
Acquiring 7scenes brings an exciting range of European clients into the Authentic system. These clients include Amnesty International; Literatuurmuseum; and De Zaanse Schans,which have recently been migrated to the My Tours mobile app platform.
This acquisition makes Authentic a frontrunner for the culture and heritage mobile storytelling sector, enhancing the company’s future growth and performance.
